Behavior Expectations

While we are learning remotely, it is important that students understand and follow the expectations below. All live (synchronous) Zoom sessions; office hours; small group meetings; or other activities during the school hours of 9:00-2:30 are considered school activities.

Be kind to one another. Pay attention to how your words and actions impact others. Students using demeaning language about others’ race/ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, socioeconomic status or appearance will face disciplinary action.

No recording of staff or other students during Zoom sessions or other online activities.

MMS Zoom Expectations: 

Community - Respect our time together
Be a positive contributor to the learning environment:
Be on time.
Everything visible in your camera needs to be school appropriate
Your display name needs to be your real name. 
Be patient and kind with others.
The same behavior expectations apply!

Growth - Learn and grow together
Listen to others and work together in order to build learning:
Be an active listener.
When speaking, be aware of your "air time".
Follow group agreements.
Ask questions if you don't understand or need clarification using the chat or "raise hand" tool.

Purpose - Zoom time = School time
Each Zoom meeting is a school activity:
We will use our independent learner skills.
Come prepared to participate. 
Any comments made verbally or in chat need to be school appropriate and about what we are learning.

Students who disrupt classes or otherwise do not follow the expectations above are subject to consequences that may include muting; removal from the class for the remainder of the period; and parent conference with the teacher and/or administrators.
