Middle school counseling and working with students has been a passion of mine for quite awhile.  Going into year 15 in the Edmonds School District as a school counselor, I love the energy and stage of development of middle school students. Whether it be working on academics, personal/social needs or coaching students, I get my energy everyday by working with our students. Being able to see my students grow and move on to high school is something that motivates me to do what I do.

If I'm not working at school, I'm usually training to run a race, spending time with my daughters or remodeling my house.  Also, as my students know, I'm really a big middle schooler at heart.  I'm also a avid sports fan.  Growing up on the Philly, I root for my Eagles, Phillies or Sixers. Go Birds!

Working as a school counselor for the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with middle school students for much of that time. As a former camp counselor and middle school teacher, I love the curiosity, playfulness and personal growth that accompanies early adolescence. I wake up most days grateful to come to work, relishing the opportunity to know students’ stories, advocate on their behalf, and witness their growth academically, socially and emotionally.

Outside my time at work, I love being outdoors, playing games, reading, traveling and spending time with my friends and family, especially my two kiddos and pup, Archie. I look forward to working with your student(s) and supporting your family during your time at Meadowdale Middle School!

I have been working as a middle school counselor since 1999. I enjoy the chaotic energy of early adolescence. Helping students and their families through this period of growth and development is very rewarding.

My personal interests include travel, water sports and a variety of other activities with family and friends.
