What is my GPA?

GRADE POINT AVERAGE
Your GPA is the average of all the grades you've earned--either in one semester or for the entire year. It is important because it reflects your level of success in school, sort of like a football team's win-loss record, or a baseball pitcher's ERA (Earned Run Average).

Your GPA is calculated for you by Skyward and printed on your report card; however, if you would like to figure it out yourself, this is how you can do it:
  1. Change each grade you have into it's numerical equivalent based on the following scale:
  2. A = 4
    B = 3
    C = 2
    D = 1
    F = 0

  3. Add up the total of all your points together. See the example below:
  4. "I earned three A's, two B's and one C. Changing it into numbers looks like this..."
    A = 4
    A = 4
    A = 4
    B = 3
    B = 3
    C = 2
    20 TOTAL PTS.

  5. Divide the total points you earned by the number of classes you took. In our example, that would be 6 classes, so...
  6. 20 divided by 6 = 3.33 GPA
