Volunteering

Volunteering at MMS

Meadowdale Middle School is always in need of parents and community members who would like to volunteer their time to assist our students and staff in a variety of ways. To be part of our valuable volunteer program, you need to complete the paperwork and make sure we have your current email address. All volunteers must have a completed and cleared Washington State Patrol Background Check on file in the office prior to volunteering.

New Volunteer Approval Process

(Below is the information from our Volunteer webpage, which is now live)

Step 1 - Complete a volunteer packet

Click the link above to complete the forms online through DocuSign.

Volunteer applicants may also print and complete a paper packet and return it to any school or the district office:  Full volunteer packet for printing - English Volunteer packet. Translations are coming soon.

Step 2 - Verify COVID-19 vaccination status

Email a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card or your immunization record to vaccineverification@edmonds.wednet.edu. Please reach out to the Human Resources department if you need a medical or religious exemption from this requirement.

Step 3 - District approval

Once your background check and COVID-19 verification have been completed, you will be notified by email of your approval.

Note: The background check and vaccine verification may take time. We ask all volunteer applicants for patience as we implement this new process.

Step 4 - Once you are approved, please contact school of choice

The school/department will confirm that you are approved through the application process and work to schedule you to volunteer.
