How Can I Volunteer?
Contrary to popular belief, middle school has plenty of opportunities for parents to help. We are willing to work with you to match your interests, skills and time requirements to available opportunities. Some opportunities to consider are:
Library Support: Checkout Support: Bingo Night; Scholastic Book Fair; or Book Club Baker
Academic Support: Science Lab; Tutors (reading, math); Privilege Awards; or Reading Fluency Tester
Counselor’s Office: Excellence Awards Support; Clerical Support; or 4.0 Breakfast Support
Social Support: Lunchroom Monitor; Dance Chaperone; After School Club Help; or Viking Dads
Leadership Roles: Viking Dad Coordinator; Staff Appreciation Coordinator; Koins for Kids Coordinator
Music Booster: Field Trip Drivers; Classroom Support; Sectional Coaching; or Fundraiser Lead
Volunteer Policy
All volunteers must have a completed and cleared Washington State Patrol Background Check on file in the office prior to volunteering.
In addition, Field Trip drivers need to provide a copy of your driver’s license; 2) insurance policy; and driving record—you can get a copy of your driving record from the Department of Licensing on Hwy 99 just complete their form, pay a $10 fee and show your I.D.
Turn in all forms to our office manager, Sue Raymond for processing 2 days prior to volunteering. Forms are availabe on this website or in our school office.
